The two days to remember
Monday closes Sanssouci Palace and the Historic Windmill visitor centre. Tuesday closes the New Palace and its visitor centre at Am Neuen Palais 3. If you hold a day ticket and want both palaces, that leaves Wednesday to Sunday. SPSG also lists occasional staff-meeting closures, so check spsg.de for the day, or call the visitor information line on +49 331 96 94-200.
Admission is timed, not open
The hours above are when the building is open, not when you can walk in. Every ticket carries a fixed slot and the daily number is limited, so the useful question is not “is it open” but “is there a slot”. The 10:00 slot and the last hour are the quiet ones; more on the best time to visit.
